What is a Content Management System (CMS)?
A
content management system is set up on a domain. It allows the
administrator/webmaster to add and remove content from a site quikly
and easily. Information is entered and catagorized, while all
formatting of the test if based on templates. There are two CMSs
available through ViralHost. JOOMLA and PHP-Nuke Content Management
System.
What are Domain Name Server (DNS) settings?
All
websites are kept on servers. Servers can be found on the internet
based on their Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. DNS settings are what
tells the internet which IP belongs to which people. If your DNS
settings are incorrect, your site will be unfound!
Important to note - changing your DNS settings is not instantaneous!
Once you make the changes, they should be in effect within 24 hours -
normally much shorter.
Domain Registration and Domain Hosting - What's the Difference?
As
shown in the DNS question previous, there are two separate parts of a
domain. The Domain Name Registration covers the name of your domain ie:
ViralHost.com, and says where this site actually is, ie: the IP adress
of the hosting server. The inhouse service for Domain Name Registration
is ViralDomainNames.com
Seperately, is the hosting of the site. This is what happens here, at
ViralHost.com! When you set up your domain, we will send you a welcome
letter that includes your DNS settings. Be sure to set these up
correctly, and your site will be ready to roll!
What is an Internet Protocal (IP) address?
A unique address - IP address - is assigned to every computer
system that is on the Internet. This counts for home computers, domain
hosting servers, etc. Everything has one.
May I join ViralHOST for free? What do I have to pay for?

What is the "Follow ME" Link Directory?
This
directory is where you go to submit your ID numbers for other in-house
programs, as well as sign up for other inhouse programs. This is to
ensure that you can remain with the same sponsor, and that your
downline may remain with you should they sign up for other in-house
programs. It is very important that you submit your ID numbers to this
directory!
What is a Banner Rotator?
This

highly ineffective.
